How we picked

Every app here has its own Apple TV app, not just AirPlay from a phone. We checked each one's listing in the US App Store on 27 September 2026: prices are in US dollars, and player counts and features are what the listings and the apps' own websites say. They change, so check the listing before you pay for anything. If something here is wrong or out of date, email contact@couchapps.eu and we'll fix it.

Questions

Can you play drinking games on Apple TV?

Yes. Couch Questions and Never - Party Game have their own Apple TV apps and are made as drinking games. Couch Questions names a player on every card and can write a deck about your group with AI; Never - Party Game puts Never Have I Ever statements on the TV.

Do you need phones to play party games on Apple TV?

Not for all of them. The Jackbox games and Big Black Cards use everyone's phone as a controller, and SketchParty TV needs one iPhone or iPad to draw on. Couch Questions, Pass the Remote! and Charades! Play Anywhere need only the TV and the Siri Remote.

Is there an AI party game for Apple TV?

Yes. Couch Questions asks who's coming and uses AI to write a deck of party and drinking cards about your group. For trivia, Nontrivial and Triviathon: AI Quiz Party write questions on any topic you type in, and Big Black Cards has an AI voice host that reads the cards out.

What are the best free party games for Apple TV?

Free to download on this list: Couch Questions (3,200 cards, no ads), Pass the Remote! (free to start, $9.99 unlocks everything), Charades! Play Anywhere, Big Black Cards, Nontrivial and Family Trivia Night. Most free apps sell extra packs or a subscription inside.

Which Apple TV party games work in other languages?

Couch Questions plays in English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. I Have Never: Dirty Game and Most Likely To come in more than a dozen languages, and SketchParty TV in eight. The Jackbox games and the trivia apps here are in English.
